I could’ve sworn it was Ian ...

I dropped Brad into his place on the way to work this morning, and as we drove up the hill I saw a paper boy cross the road ahead and wave as we approached. So I waved back and Brad says; “What are you doing?”

“I’m waving at Ian.”

“That’s’ not Ian."

“He waved at us.”

“No, he slipped on that patch of ice and his arm went like that *waves arm randomly*. He was nothing like Ian. Honestly, woman.”

Tee hee! I love cases of mistaken identity! It's very embarrassing when it happens though. My husband is always saying "Isn't that so and so?, and it isn't.

I'm an expert at it, unfortunately! :)

Lol Scatty :o) I always find it's worse when someone comes up to you in the street and says something like 'oh hi, how are you, I haven't seen you in ages, you look great' etc etc. You're smiling and going 'yeah I'm fine, how are you?' but thinking oh hell, I have absolutely no idea who this is!

I find myself desperately running through any place we could know each other from in my head whilst giving really vaguely worded answers and asking very non-specific questions like 'how is everyone your end then?'

My memory is so poor...and I'm only 23! It's only going to get worse isn't it lol :o)

Just had a read Scatty and you're right, that is EXACTLY what I was talking about lol :o)

Happens to me all the time and I'm sure the panic must show in my face to the other person, which only makes me feel more embarrassed that I can't remember them!
