Your Age in Chocolate!
Work this out as you read ...Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate (more than once but less than 10)
2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)
3. Add 5
4. Multiply it by 50
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1760 ...If you haven't, add 1759.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born. You should have a three digit number
The first digit of this was your original number(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).
The next two numbers are ... YOUR AGE! This is the only year (2010) it will ever work, so tell your friends while it lasts!

Hands off Cadbury!!
People of Britain - are we really going to let one of our National Treasures be lost? I hope not I really do - for all we know the Managing Director of Kraft may hate Creme Eggs and you know what that means. As in, Nestle took over Rowntree Mackintosh - and when was the last time you saw Toffos? Hm? When? Exactly! And with Easter on it's way, can we really take the risk? (Especially as they're now putting miniature Twisteds in Heroes.)
People of Britain, I urge you - tell the suits: Hands off Cadbury!
I'll start the Facebook group - no, there's one already there - and get the #handsoffcadbury going on Twitter! Join me - don't let the faceless fat cats take our chocolate!

3BT: They say things come in threes ...
And how very right they are! I opened up my emails at work this morning to find I'd won a tenner in the Sports and Social draw! Lovely start to the day - then a lovely finish to the day at our department quiz night. Firstly, we had a Head and Tails game - you know, where they flip a coin and you either have your hands on your head or your bum - last one standing wins half the pot - and it was me! I had a game plan too - I went: heads heads tails heads tails tails - and it worked! And then my team only went and won the quiz itself - and the other half of the pot and, more importantly, a huge tub of Celebrations. Unfortunately, I won't be in the office again till Friday, by which time they'll all be gone. But that's probably a good thing. We're not sure how we won, having guessed at a very random selection of questions, but happily snatched that trophy back from the Post Room by two clear points! Awesome.

I knew it; somehow, I've always known
The experts finally admit it - chocolate is good for you!

Desperately Seeking Colin
I shopped at Sainsbury’s specifically today to buy some repackaged Pollack (cheaper than cod, plenty of it etc - see The Daily Scatter for the full story!) but upon asking a member of staff I got the “Never heard of it, I’ll just find the person who’s on fish.” Who’d never heard of it. I convinced myself it was an April Fool’s joke but researching it online again I find it is true, but they’re only stocking it in ten stores. That’ll teach me to skim read.
Still, it wasn't a wasted trip, I'd left a bag (non food stuffs) hanging on the shopping trolley and had to go back to the centre - and that's when I found the fudge stall. With the chocolate and orange, chocolate and mint and chocolate and vanilla fudge! Some things are just meant to be ...

3BT: Chocolate, shetland, art
They wouldn't dare ...would they? They’d better not, that’s all I’ll say. They think they’ve seen rebellions in this country before (ok, not many, admittedly) it’ll be nothing compared to the one I would personally start, if they t …t …ta…I can’t even bring myself to say it. I love my chocolate, you know I do - but I know when to stop. I can stop it anytime, just like that. I don’t need chocolate. I mean, yes, it’s yummmmmy and commmmmforting and kind of just mmmmelts in the mmmmouth and …how long till Easter?
People can overdose on roast beef and yorkshire pud too you know, Dr. Walker - gonna call for a tax on that are you, huh? Are you? The problem lies with eating too much of anything, not just the things that are ‘bad’ for you - there are plenty of skinny people who live on things that are bad for you. Even when they’re offered a proper dinner. Oh, hello Brad *waves* - didn’t see you there.
Ahhhh of the day, along with LOL of the day at the people who called the fire brigade, thinking the pony was stuck in the mud! Harriett’s back on Heart FM - Jamie must have missed her - he reckons that happened to her in the snow; she’s a Shetland Presenter!

Matt had an Art Curriculum evening at school; he found all the sculptures, made a carpet sea picture and collectively created a huge multi-coloured dot canvas. I drew Mr. Bean while I was waiting - I think his teachers were well impressed. I mean, it’s the only thing I’ve ever drawn that’s vaguely recognisable! Yes, I know it was done on a grid but the photocopy wasn‘t the greatest quality. Matt gave me 10/10 so I’m happy!

Make Mine Chocolate (not that Kinder rubbish though)
Tom Chambers has a bunny rabbit, bless - isn’t he cute? I’m talking about the rabbit, Foxy! Ok, Tom’s not too shabby either. (And I think Clemmie must be a girl rabbit, since his other rabbit is called Winston and Clemmie was Winston Churchill’s wife - it’s amazing the things you remember isn’t it? It’s only because ‘Jennie, Lady Randolph Churchill’ starring Lee Remick, was one of my favourite programmes when I was little.)
Naturally my eye was drawn to this site, because ‘Make Mine Chocolate’ is my family motto. However, there are Important Issues going on here too - we all know a dog is for life, not just for Christmas; it seems the same goes for bunnies too. Only at Easter. So Make Mine Chocolate! (Ok, they’re preaching to the converted with me, but the sentiment remains). There are eggs going cheap at Asda, by the way - we‘ve already got a stockpile.

Stocking up on the important stuff
And I did most of it today ...

Too late or too early?
All I know is, I should be sleeping soundly snuggled up in a cosy bed, but OH is snoring. And when I say snoring I mean SNORING.
It's like sleeping next to an elephant with a tuba strapped to his trunk. I'm not trying to get rid of my eldest son, but I can't wait till he leaves home so I can have my own room. Bliss.
I'll give it another few minutes - I can just stick my head out of the lounge; even with the bedroom door shut, I'll be able to hear him :(
I haven't even got any Christmas chocolate in the house yet ...except on the tree!!! They won't miss one, maybe two. G'night.

The Coffee is Gone!
You see - in some places the public vote counts for something: The coffee flavour Revel is history! (For a short while anyway). I'm sure I wasn't the only one who voted against it. Likewise I'm sure there were people out there who loved it - unfortunately for them, the judges agreed with the majority. Fancy that, eh? Whatever next. I heard they called the coffee revel a disarster and it was outstanding at being a bad flavour, so they're glad it's gone. Even though, during the press conference they tried to say they were sad to see it go, they quite clearly hated it with a vengeance. Apparently, to soothe its feelings, they booked it on a cruise.
Strangely though, I'm not impressed with the replacement. It was a very insipid strawberry or raspberry flavour (see, I'm not even sure) and I was rather hoping for an exotic coconut or icy mint. At least you knew when you'd had a coffee one. I actually feel quite nostalgic for it now.

3BT: Musical interlude and surprise, surprise - chocolate!
A friend of mine designs these gorgeous little music models . As a fellow football mum, we’ve never really had time to chat until last Saturday night at a birthday party, when I found out she teaches music teachers to teach music to children! And these little models are a wonderful sideline, so if you’re looking for the perfect gift for the musician in your family, check out the web shop.
Talking of Twist and Shout, John and Kristina’s cha cha song, I used to work at an insurance company who managed to put their own band together from the staff. A terrific night was had by all at a local hotel, the highlight a rendition of said Beatles song - with more of us on the stage than off it.
Matthew dropping his twix in the bin - no, really - even I draw a line there. I’m not saying it wasn‘t tempting and let’s face it, I’m still thinking about it now. I can almost hear it calling out to me …

Have a nice trip?
I was out last night and only found out about Gethin's little mishap due to the ribbing his guests were giving him today on FiveLive!
It could've been worse - I won a raffle prize once and had to cross the dancefloor to collect it. Being very excited I was practically running, got to within ten feet, slipped and slid the rest of the way on my bum! Probably because the prize was a humungus box of chocolates nearly as big as me ...
Just found out, there's a Strictly Come Dancing preview show on Saturday 13th September, including a review of last year and previews of the couples this year. Don't miss it!

3bt: Saturday night in
Watching the very scary woman on X Faxtor -you know the one - but Alexandra worth the wait for. Swapping chocolate, Matt doesn't like Twisteds. Where did I go wrong? Hubby had to give him an assortment of raisins, maltesers and coatless minstrels from the family bag of Revels. (Don't forget to vote). Settled back then for Have I Got News For You and Mock the Week, a solid hour of mirth.
A story on teletext: From a mining town in Australia, where the men outnumber the women five to one. Someone suggested bussing in the less attractive women from outer lying areas to even things up a bit! A local woman stated: "We've got a saying here, that the odds are good but the goods are odd!" Classic.
BRACE YOURSELVES!!!!!! Saturday Nights in till Christmas.
The BBC are releasing teasers for the next series of Strictly Come Dancing. The message boards have gone into overdrive, the usual rag reckons it has an exclusive, the line up will be confirmed next week. Check out the trailer here and see if you can identify anyone!

Off the scale …
Reports are coming in from around the country of earth tremors shaking the foundations of many properties - Champagne Manors in particular seemed to be most affected. The reasons for this seemed shrouded in secrecy, until my spy at the local Champagne Manor confirmed there took place the unveiling of a new GethPic, courtesy of those lovely people at ‘Heat’ magazine.

Stay on target ...stay on target ...
Smoked salmon and cream cheese sarnie: 5 points
Curly Wurly: 2 1/2 points
Weight Watchers Choccie Eclair: 1 1/2 points
Still losing 1lb at the weigh in: Priceless! (It will be; only 2lbs to go, that's a beautiful thing ...)

1,2,3 BT's
I'm feeling like Miss Marple, as I investigated a particularly juice query at work and am well on the way to solving the mystery.
Am just 4lbs away from target weight, after which I can factor in some chocolate (officially!)
Driving North West into a blaze of golden red.

The Chocoholic
The chocoholic is
A wondrous creature
It licks its lips
It savours its prey
It wants it more
And more each day
It knows it should…
Not
Can’t help itself
Just has to take it
off the shelf
Pays the money
Rips the wrapper
Oh, dear God; Yes!
Come to mama!
End
